EXTERIOR:
- First Impressions really count!! Curb Appeal!!
- Keep lawn mowed and landscaping neat and trimmed
- Remove dead tree limbs and other yard debris
- Freshen up the landscaping (a small investment for fresh flowers/shrubs really makes a difference)
- Arrange outdoor furniture and decorations neatly
- Put away all lawn equipment
- Check siding, trim and doors (especially the front door) wash or repaint if needed
- Repair or paint your fencing if necessary
- Repair or replace loose or damaged roof shingles or flashing
- Clean and repair broken windows and screens
- Clean gutters and downspouts
- Wash the driveway and sidewalks and patch any holes
- Clean and organize the garage and shed
- Clean the gas grill -- especially in season
- Make sure the entry light and doorbell work
INTERIOR :
- Every room must look spacious, organized, bright, warm and inviting!!
- Wash walls, ceiling and trim and, if possible, paint with light, neutral colors
- Repair cracks in plaster
- Tighten doorknobs, pulls on drawers and cabinets, towel racks, switch plates, etc.
- Fix sticking doors and windows, loose banisters and squeaking doors
- Repair and clean caulking around tubs and sinks
- Fix leaky faucets and remove water or rust stains
- Organize the basement and attic to appear spacious and neat
- Get rid of all items your are not taking or hold a garage sale
- Organize closets and remove clutter especially items stored on the floor
- Organize kitchen cabinets and de-clutter countertops
- Clean draperies, blinds and curtains
- Shampoo carpets and wax floors
- Spray for bugs
- Arrange furniture so rooms appear roomy and appealing
- Remove and replace items, i.e., chandeliers, coordinating drapes and mirrors, you are taking with you.
